Have you found stains on your pool floor or walls? The Pool Team has the solution!
The Aqua Pro Metal and Stain Remover is your go-to product! However, the sooner the type of stain is identified, the sooner it can be tackled and the more likely it is that the stain can be removed.
There are two types of pool stains:
Organic stains are caused by organic materials such as leaves and debris that have been left to sink to the bottom of the pool. These stains can easily be removed if caught in time with the use of either the Aqua Pro Metal and Stain Remover, Aqua Pro Peroxide or Aqua Pro Oxidiser.
Metal stains can occur when there are metals in the water. This can be caused by filling the pool with borehole water which potentially contains iron, copper sulphate or other minerals. Metals can also enter the water through rapidly increasing pH, or by substantially increasing Alkalinity.
The type of stain can be identified by the colour. The below image shows the different colour pool stains.
- Green brown stains are generally organic stains caused by leaves.
- Red blue stains are also organic stains caused by berries that may have fallen into the pool.
- Green brown red stains are usually metal stains caused by iron. This could come from a rusted metal fence or other nearby sources.
- Brown black purple stains are caused by manganese which can be found in municipal water or borehole water.
- Blue green black stains could be organic stains caused by leaves or berries, however, if you pool is not situated under trees or bushes, these could be metal stains caused by copper.
