This fast-acting shock treatment is quick and easy to apply to your swimming pool. The process of shocking your pool is important to turn useless chlorine that has taken on a chemical reaction and turn it back into free chlorine that will rid your pool of bacteria. This is how to use the Aqua Pro Oxidiser:

1. Ensure that the pH of your swimming pool is between 7.2 – 7.6 for best results
2. Depending on the volume of your swimming pool, use the recommended amount of Aqua Pro Oxidiser:
   • 0-25000lt – one packet a month
   • 25000 – 75000lt – one packet every two weeks
   • 75000 – 100000lt – one packet a week
3. Pour the Aqua Pro Oxidiser into your weir or skimmer basket while the pool pump’s filter function is activated. This will allow for better product circulation
   NOTE: The optimal time to add the Aqua Pro Oxidiser is at sunset.
4. Run the pool pump for a minimum of three or four hours after adding Aqua Pro Oxidiser. Brush the swimming pool floor, walls and clean the surface of the water the following day to remove the dead algae and ensure best results
5. Do not swim for two hours after adding the oxidiser to your water.

Pool test strips allow you to test your water quickly and efficiently, without having to take your water in-store or use complicated equipment.

These are dip-and-read strips that, after being dipped roughly 40cm into the pool, display a colour associated with different pH levels, total alkalinity and chlorine. This is how to use the test strips:

1. Dip the strip into your swimming pool water and hold for 15 seconds
2. Take the strip reading immediately
3. Compare free chlorine, pH and total alkalinity pads to the colour chart on the label
4. Your pool is well maintained and in good condition if the results are:
   • Free Chlorine – 1 – 3ppm
   • pH – 7.2 – 7.6 ppm
   • Total Alkalinity – 80 – 120ppm for Marbelite swimming pools
     120 – 150ppm for Fiberglass swimming pools

A chemical used to kill algae and stop the growth of the organism in your pool. The application of this chemical should be done monthly where the entire bottle is added. Under normal conditions, this should be sufficient to keep your pool free of algae.

Use Aqua Pro Algaecide as follows:

1. Ensure that your pool’s pH levels are between 7.2 – 7.6 for optimal chemical results
2. Disconnect the swimming pool cleaner from the weir or skimmer
3. Turn the pump system off
4. Turn the multiport valve (the connector that runs water to and from the filter, and allows different functions to take place such as backwashing, rinsing, filtering, etc.) onto bypass or circulate. Then turn the pump on
5. Pour the entire bottle of Aqua Pro Algaecide into the weir or skimmer basket
6. Let the pool pump run for one to two hours. Turn the multiport valve back to filter and insert the pool cleaner

NOTE: Do not swim for two hours after adding the Aqua Pro Algaecide

If the swimming pool is completely green, filter it for 12 hours then backwash as normal. Using Aqua Pro Algaecide will ensure that you have the perfect conditions for swimming all year round.

A water flocculent is a water-clarifying agent used to get your pool sparkling and clear. Aqua Pro Gel Cube performs this function and eliminates sub-micron particles, including algae. It also acts to increases filter efficiency. Here’s how to use the cube:

1. Place one Aqua Pro Gel Cube into the weir or skimmer basket
2. 24 hours after adding an Aqua Pro Gel Cube, remove the weir or skimmer basket, run a backwash on the pool filter until the sight glass is clear and then rinse
3. Repeat this process, if necessary

NOTE: It is very important to backwash your pool filter once a week, as dirt particles are continuously trapped in the filter while the pump is running

Best practice is to add an Aqua Pro Gel Cube to your swimming pool every second week, to ensure that all the foreign particles and organisms that may be growing in your pool are eliminated.
