What’s in the kit?

The Aqua Pro Test Strips can be used on a weekly basis to test the water, making sure the chemicals are in balance. Simply dip the test strip into the pool approximately 40cm deep and remove immediately. Don’t shake the test strip after dipping into the water as this will distort the results. Compare the colours on the strip to the chart on the bottle to determine the pH, Total Alkalinity and Chlorine levels of the water.

The Aqua Pro Oxidiser is a powerful sanitiser used to keep the pool water clean and safe to swim in. The oxidiser can be added straight through the weir with the system on bypass. The Aqua Care Kit contains four packets of Aqua Pro Oxidiser which is sufficient for a 50 000 litre pool. Add one packet per week to maintain the pool’s sanitation.

Aqua pro Algaecide is used to kill algae growth in the pool. The Aqua Care Kit contains one bottle of Aqua Pro Algaecide. This can be added through the weir at the beginning of every month. Once the algaecide and the oxidiser have been added, the water might become cloudy. Maintain the clarity of the pool water with the Aqua Pro Gel Cube. The Aqua Care Kit contains one box of Aqua Pro Gel Cubes with two gel cubes in the box. One Aqua Pro Gel Cube is placed into the weir basket at a time. The gel cube lasts approximately two weeks. Add the second gel cube once the first one has fully dissolved.

Always remember to get the basics right first: Test the water; clean out the weir and pump baskets; backwash and rinse. This is to ensure that you obtain the best results from the products added.
With the pool system on bypass/circulate, add the Aqua Pro Oxidiser through the weir, followed by the Aqua Pro Algaecide.
After these chemicals have been added, the pool may become cloudy. Run the system on filter for 12 hours.
Add the Aqua Pro Gel Cube into the weir basket for a crystal-clear pool.
