A chemical used to kill algae and stop the growth of the organism in your pool. The application of this chemical should be done monthly where the entire bottle is added. Under normal conditions, this should be sufficient to keep your pool free of algae.
Use Aqua Pro Algaecide as follows:
- Ensure that your pool’s pH levels are between 7.2 – 7.6 for optimal chemical results
- Disconnect the swimming pool cleaner from the weir or skimmer
- Turn the pump system off
- Turn the multiport valve (the connector that runs water to and from the filter, and allows different functions to take place such as backwashing, rinsing, filtering, etc.) onto bypass or circulate. Then turn the pump on
- Pour the entire bottle of Aqua Pro Algaecide into the weir or skimmer basket
- Let the pool pump run for one to two hours. Turn the multiport valve back to filter and insert the pool cleaner
NOTE: Do not swim for two hours after adding the Aqua Pro Algaecide
If the swimming pool is completely green, filter it for 12 hours then backwash as normal. Using Aqua Pro Algaecide will ensure that you have the perfect conditions for swimming all year round.
